Cleaning/ Packing

Good morning, afternoon or evening!!!
I hope your day is going well whatever time it is for you!! I have spent the past few weeks slowly and gradually packing and cleaning in between and I just have to say I am getting sick of it. I love going through things to decide whether I want to keep it anymore but its so exhausting especially while pregnant!!

So if you don't know we're planning on moving...when you say? Well that's the uncertain part (which really sucks) right now we are living in a family members house while they are trying to sell it. There are so many pros and cons to this. One pro is that our rent is less and we get to have a place to stay, we also have don't have to actually move yet and not a whole ton of pressure to find a place to live which means we can find the perfect place (I'm hoping).

Some cons are well strangers coming in to look at the house, especially when I feel the house looks like a disaster because there are boxes all over the place. Plus baby's room ugh! Just thinking about it makes me want to cry, every time I walk by I want to cry, we have the crib and the changing table set up and the dressers but that's it the rest of the room is just covered in boxes I mean its neat but we can't do anything I can't decorate (or nest) and it drives me crazy.

I know you may be thinking I have plenty of time to get everything in order. I am sure I do I am just really anxious to get everything set up and perfect before baby comes and I do not want to procrastinate and it makes me feel uneasy. I guess I'll have to get over it.

Anyway another thing that peeves me about "moving" is that now were taking everything off the walls and cleaning out old things and boxing everything up makes the place feel so much less home-y. It just feels like well I guess uncertainty.

School!!

Hey everyone!!!
I hope you are having a great and wonderful day I am so excited now that all taxes are filed I can finally fill out my financial aid information and get the ball rolling on school even more now.

So my list of things to do is growing but I'm also crossing stuff off which I love!!
So school is on the top of my list I have only a few things to do before I start

  1. Fill out financial aid
  2. take placement tests (which freak me out!!)
  3. Figure out budget
  4. set up 2nd appt. with advisor, sign up for classes
  5. Get all required items (books, pencils, pens, calculators, etc.)

So my list has been gradually getting smaller and smaller and I cannot express how excited I am!! I am going for my bachelors degree in elementary education, so I'm in for a long, couple of years but I am pumped and ready! My dream goal is to teach 1st grade but anything 4th grade and below works for me!

What are your school goals? Do you have a list to cross thing off? Don't forget about what makes you happy and don't stop striving for your goals, they way you get there and the memories you have on the way make it all the more special!

16 weeks pregnant update

Hey everyone!!

So yesterday I went to my doctors office for my check up they weighed me in at 123.1 lbs and I did my measurements of a 34.5 inch waist. I am definately getting bigger!!
Some days I feel no different than before I was pregnant, other days I feel bigger than I am and soo much more pregnant, its so crazy that basically each day is different I love it all the same!!

16 weeks 2days!!

So the most embarassing/ hilarious thing happend, I went to give my urine sample and I was in the bathroom and I was already having a difficult time bending over to see if the cup was in place. I set the "specimen" on top of the toilet paper dispenser and I was trying to get some "tp" it wouldn't come off in a full piece for the life of me.

So while struggling for a decent size piece of "tp I notice the cup I had used had a hole in it!!! I was mortified!! I was freaking out trying to hurry to get another cup before the cup was empty!!

Then on top off all that I couldn't get just one cup it was 4!! So I had to clean up luckily they had some cleaning products and I was trying to do this all fast so that it didn't seem odd that I was there for a while.

Tiffany, my wife, was looking at me like what took so long? I said " I don't want to talk about it right now. I was laughing so hard in my head.

So on to my "exciting" appointment which was like 5 minutes long!! We didn't get to see baby but we got to hear the heartbeat!!! It was between 140 and 158! So baby is going strong and healthy!! I cannot wait for the gender scan on Febuary 14!!! Valentine's day!!!!

I also wanted to share with you all something that Tiffany and I thought was interesting....We found out on Halloween that we're pregnant, we'll find out the sex of the baby on Valentine's day, and the baby is due near July 4th (July 11th to be exact but close enough)!!!

Hair growth

Who loves to change up their hair? I do! I have been changing the color, style, texture of my hair since I can remember. I don't know if thats a good or bad thing but for the sake of this post were going to say.....it was...a....negative. It pains me to say that because I've become addicted to doing it whenever I get bored with my hair color or style I just change it no worries, no questions or second thoughts.

Well times have changed for a number of reasons.. mainly, being pregnant ( I know I can dye my hair while being pregnant in fact that's one of the first things I asked my doctor but I have chose..for now to refrain as long as I possibly can) but also to let my hair regain some health and grow out.

So here's where my story begins around Febuary or March of last year I had that urge to change my hair again and I decided blonde. It wasn't scary to me because I have gone blonde once or twice before. So my hair was about shoulder length and pretty dark.

In the picture below I am on the left and as you can see my hair is dark and long and looks decently healthy

So I went from that gorgeous dark long healthy-ish hair to horrible stages of orange and yellow and finally to a yellow-ish blonde. I gave myself the dead line of my birthday which was rapidly approaching and so I got the famous purple toner and shampoo and conditioner and used them all majorly on my hair. Before I knew it, it was my birthday and all I can say is it was decent it was way better than the orange and the yellow was fading pretty fast.

Oh yeah did I mention I also added some red to my bangs..no? Well I did :)
So then I continued to work on getting the bit of yellow-ness out of my hair and toning it reapeatedly. In between all of this I have been deep conditioning my hair almost every other day. So for about another 3 weeks I am working on making it platinum and it did get there I am happy to say.

This was at the lightest and I had made a few trims to it to cut off the fried ends. I was trying to keep up with the blonde but my hair was growing so fast that every week my roots were showing and they were DARK! So I decided it was a good idea to just go back to black and chop my hair into a bob around my ears.

So after cutting my hair nearly in half I was a bit upset but I told myself that I needed to get on taking care of it and getting it healthy again. So I did I started doing different treatments, all at home. Oil treatments, homemade remedies, deep conditioning over night just about anything you could think of. It was exhausting I got so fed up I did the unthinkable and cut my hair again! This time it was even shorter and I was frightened to cut it because I had never had my hair that short before so I took myself to a salon which I NEVER do. This is what happened.

My hair was the shortest its ever been and I loved it!! I felt like a pixie! So I was so in love and I had so much fun styling it and finding new ways to wear it. I usually get sick of hair cuts after like 2 weeks and I cry and want my old hair back. With this hair cut I just kept loving it more and more and then 6 weeks went by and it was still great.
The love began to wear off about 3-4 months in and I was ready for my hair to be longer again. I have been growing my hair out and making it healthy all over again for the zillionth time since that cut. I can really look back on this picture and see how much my hair has grown in the short months (which have felt like forever until I got pregnant).

My hair is different lengths and if you look at the picture you can see why but parts are getting so close to my shoulders and I am getting so excited!!
I haven't been doing a ton of treatments or deep conditioning I have just been using less heat and only a few products I have been using Cibu Ancient Serum, every time I get out of the shower.
If I am going to wear my hair natural (wavy) then I will put some mousse in it.

So now that everyone is bored with this post and probably not even reading this I hope you all enjoyed reading my recent hair journey in the past year. If you have any questions about products I've used or anything please ask me!!

Thanks for reading enjoy your week!!!!

Review on- Forever21 Maternity Dress

If you haven't follwed my previous blog or don't watch my videos on www.youtube.com/hairandmakeuphowto or you don't know me personally (hehe) you may not know that I am 16 weeks pregnant (well on monday but were close enough right?)

That leads to buying new clothes (unfortunately? fortunately?) either way you look at it I did.. Luckily I had a gift card to Forever21 and the store in my town has some of the maternity clothing in stock.

So I took a looksy and nothing was super appealing most of it is just really plain and thats kind of perturbing (to me at least). Isn't forever21 known for being "modern" and kind of "different" styles. I'm not sure maybe thats just me.

Anyway after looking around for about 20 minutes my wife asked "are you going to pick anything up?!"

So I look through the last maternity rack and I found this gorgeous purple maxi dress! I was so excited because its a gorgeous color, its not black, which will be too hot here in summer, and it was on sale!!

So my thoughts on the dress:
Pros-
Soft
Comfy
Gorgeous color
Transitional
Breatheable
Supportive

Cons-
A tiny bit long (not bad especially when baby gets bigger)
A tab bit too low for my taste ( even more so now with my bust getting bigger)

So as you see there are definately more pros than cons and I am loving this dress its so comfy its almost like a night-gown! But much more fancy!!

I wanted to include a few self portraits of me wearing the dress so you all can get a better visual

I hope you all have a great wonderful weekend even though it's almost over enjoy it til the last drop!!
