TRESemme Dry Shampoo Review

Have you ever been in a rush and just don't have the time to wash your hair? I know I have been, whether it was for school or work my alarm just didn't go off the right time that morning. Well I had planned on taking a shower that morning but inevitably that didn't work out my hair looked a mess and to top it all off greasy to boot! I would frantically run around getting dressed, fixing my makeup and not having any idea what I was going to do with my hair. Now I guess this wouldn't be such a major problem if you have longer hair you can just toss it up into a hair bun or ponytail. However my hair happens to be short.

To solve the greasy problem I had figured out over time that baby powder really helps soak up all the extra oils and then I could quickly find a way to style my hair to look decent. Well It was nice for a while but then putting the baby powder in my hair got old it was always a huge process and took a bit longer than I really had. So when I had heard of all these companies making a dry shampoo that does the same thing and you just aerosol spray it in it sounded great!

So I decided to purchase the TRESemme Dry shampoo for oily/straight to normal hair. Its described as waterless oil and odor remover with mineral clay and citrus. It comes in an aerosol spray can and is pretty cute packaging nothing really design wise just black and neon green. So after first purchasing it I just let it sit in my bathroom for about a week I had forgot all about it till one day.. I looked at my hair and it looked a bit greasy even though I had just showered the day before. I went to the bathroom to use the dry shampoo spray all excited but then.. no after a few sprays (only on one half of my head) it had stopped working, no spray, not even a little bit. I thought oh maybe they clay had clogged the nozzle so I ran it under some hot water to loosen it up, and nothing. I tried everything to get it unclogged with out breaking it and it just wouldn't budge.

I took it back to the store and luckily they were really great about me exchanging it out. I took it home and tried again. I sighed with relief when it didn't get clogged again. Now you still have to work with the product you can't just spray it and walk out cause it does leave a grayish white color in your hair so you have to let it set for about a minute or two and then brush through. You will still have to style it and make it look good. But it does do what it claims and also adds a bit of extra hold and texture to your hair. So it helps to add volume and keep it volumized through out the day.

I wouldn't say it saves you a whole ton of time like I had expected but I don't really know why I thought you wouldn't have to still style it of course you would! I would say its worth the $5 for it if you run into this problem plus the smell is amazing. It is almost like a wonderful perfume for your hair.

Mini Vacation

So again I have been slacking but I kind of have good reason I have been planning our trip (mini vacation). We are picking up Tiffany's dad in Winslow, AZ and we are taking him to his flight in Las Vegas, Nevada which will be taking him to Northern California.

When we first decided to do this we were going to just do that just take him to his flight then say goodbye. But we got to thinking and then decided that it would be fun to take a baby moon in Vegas for an extra couple of nights. Well we decided we were going to be spontaneous and not reserve a hotel and just see if we could find a place to stay for an extra night or two.

Well our plans changed yet again! We decided that the six hour drive from Winslow to Vegas wasn't going to be enough time for Tiffany and her dad to talk and spend time together. (long story short they haven't seen each other in almost four years and he is now moving) So we have decided that we are going to get him on his plane and drive up the coast and meet him in Northern California.

So this is the very very general area of where we are going. We are going to be at one of the places on the FARRR left just on the coast.

So as exciting as it is that we are doing this it gets even more exciting and also a bit stressful. So the exciting part is that he is moving to where Tiffany had her most fond memories of growing up and her "best" childhood years, which happens to be with her fathers ex fiance. I have heard so much about her over the years and I have even had the pleasure of emailing back and forth with her and have spoke to her on the phone a few times and now I get to meet her! "M" which is his ex-fiance. "R" as in Tiffany's dad. "M" and "R" have some what "re-kindled" what they once had so that is where he is going.

This is an areal view of the "small" town

So basically we are going to stay with "M" and "R" for a few days and just spend some family time and some relaxation from reality, which is good in moderation. So you might be saying, "well what's the stressful part then?" Well there are a few, one planning the trip and making sure all the hotels are booked for the right days, planning the gas costs, and making sure we travel far enough to make the hotels.

Next is well we have dogs and although we don't have to worry about who will watch them and everything like that (our roommate will) our neighbors are jerks and they tried calling the police on our dogs twice (which got them no where because the cops didn't care) for barking at eight in the morning because they decided to do loud and I mean loud yard work on a Saturday. Anyway that is another stressor because while we do have someone to watch them he does have a job so....

All in all I am super excited to go I love California, I love Tiffany and spending any time with her, I want to meet "M" and get to know "R" better, and its going to be a exciting, fun, spontaneous trip all together. Plus it should give me a ton to write about...right?

19 weeks 1 day Pregnant!

Hey lovely ones!!

On Monday we went to have an ultrasound and find out the gender!! I was soo excited and nervous.
The morning started around 8:30am I made a Valentine's day breakfast for my wife. We relaxed a bit then we went to the doctors office we got there at 10:30ish and checked in we waited and waited it actually wasn't too long maybe 15 minutes. We walked back and talked to the ultrasound technichian asked if we could video record unfortunately at that facility they don't allow it because other people use it against them in court and horrible things like that. Some people just really do ruin it for everyone. Its ok I will never forget it.

my eyes look a bit scary

So other than that we had the nicest most wonderful ultrasound tech. She was perfect and so helpful and actually talked to us and informed us of everything she was doing. We even got to see the 4 chambers of the heart it was soo amazing!!

So baby is 100% perfect and wonderful in every way everything is normal; size, heart, organs, legs, feet, hands, fingers and toes are all there and working perfectly. Weighing in at about 8 ounces.

19 weeks 2 days

Totally posing one hand on head and one under chin!!

AND BABY'S GENDER IS..................................

A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We knew it from the beginning but now its confirmed!! We are soo excited and happy and her name is going to be Reina Jean!! We made our "rounds" of telling all of our family members in person that we could. And tried calling most of our family out of town.

When we came home we decided we wanted to get to working on her room and we brought everything out and sorted through the clothes we already have and the diapers we have and just everything.

Still a ton more organizing to do we were just looking at what we have

Just a part of the diaper stash (left disposable diapers, right cloth diapers)

We also have a dresser we got used from my step-dad (which used to be his dads) and we have been needing to stain it to match the rest of the furniture so we did that as well. And by we I mean wifey did it I watched and supervised. It only has one coat and it needs two but it looks amazing and is almost a perfect match to the rest of the furniture!

I am just so thrilled that we know now so we can get everything set up and put together and start on our decor were still having a nautical themed nursery but to make it more girly I am adding some special touches. I may make a blog post about it or a video on how to but that will be in the weeks to come.

Thank you all for following my blog and supporting me I really appreciate it!!

Slacker

Hey I am so sorry I have been slacking on these posts I will have a ton of stuff to update you on next week!! I am so excited Monday, Valentine's Day, we are going to find out the gender of baby!!! I am sooo excited and nervous all at the same time I mean it's either one or the other and once we know the other gender is basically pushed out almost 100%. Don't get me wrong I totally want to know so we can get gender specific and everything like that. I guess I shouldn't be too worried this won't be my last baby so I have another chance to have the other!

Also I will be going to my school on Tuesday and I will have my final decision made I know I said I was going to become a teacher but I have looked into going to back to Cosmetology school for now. I have looked into both schools and everything else involved in the future with the jobs and they pretty much are comparable as far as salary, satisfaction, etc. I'm not saying a teacher could be a stylist or a stylist could teach but I'm saying they have some of the same aspects.  So I will make my final decision on Tuesday where I will go and if I choose to teach I can always do cosmetology at another time or vice versa. I am not going to stress myself out about it anymore I have options and they are mine and mine only to make.

So those are only a few things that have been keeping me from posting on here my mind has been busy working and thinking of so many things I just haven't been able to get them out to read so I am trying to release it a bit. I will talk to you all very soon!!
